Fall 2026 Paraeducator Workshop Series

Are you interested in pursuing a rewarding career in education? The Barstow Area Consortium for Adult Education (BACAE) invites you to join our Fall 2026 Paraeducator Workshop Series! This free, virtual program is designed to equip you with the essential skills and resources to succeed as a paraeducator.

How to Register

• Enrollment Form: Sign Up for the Fall 2026 Series
• Cost: FREE
• Requirement: Participants must have active enrollment at Barstow Community College (or apply via OpenCCC/Barstow Community College prior to the start of classes).
• Note: Seating is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Program Details

• Schedule: Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Starting Thursday, August 13th through December 17th; excludes college-observed holidays)
• Format: Hosted virtually via Zoom

What You Will Learn & Experience

• Define the paraeducator job description and identify qualifying skills.
• Master the application process, tailor your resume and cover letter, and request reference letters.
• Practice job interview skills in a supportive, constructive setting.
• Guest Speakers: Connect with representatives from local school districts to learn about job opportunities in our region.
• Student Support: Access our SDEV 150 Tutoring Program and work with our Career Readiness Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition into employment.
