Welcome to Special Programs & Services
Barstow Community College’s Special Programs and Services Department (SPS) is dedicated to providing access and support services to students who are educationally disadvantaged by social, physical, or economic barriers.
Special Programs and Services offers services through the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS), Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE), (NextUp) (formerly known as Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES), California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs), the Food Pantry and Basic Needs.

Our monthly main campus fresh produce market is where the Basic Needs team provides enrolled students with various fresh produce, pantry items, hygiene products, and diapers.
