Hello Staff and Students of Barstow Community College District
With the winter months approaching and COVID cases increasing, I wanted to share with you the best protocols for reporting if you believe you have COVID and what to do if you believe you have been exposed to COVID. Your health and safety are vitally important to us at Barstow Community College.
Two of the links below are “quick tips”, one for staff and one for students. This is a very succinct chart to follow if you believe you have COVID or symptoms like COVID.
The third link is the Barstow Community College Employee COVID-19 Decision Tree. This form provides more information about what steps to take if you test positive for COVID. The second column in the form provides steps if you are exposed to someone and have close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID. This is probably the most valuable information because there are a lot of myths about what to do when you are in close contact.
If you have any further questions about COVID, please contact myself, Rocio Chavez at rchavez@barstow.edu or Lena Vargas at lvargas@barstow.edu, ext. 7232. I want you to feel safe and have the knowledge on how to take care of yourself as the winter months approach.
Sincerely,
Rocio Chavez
