The Barstow Area Consortium for Adult Education (BACAE) recently participated in two meaningful community outreach events, highlighting our ongoing commitment to supporting adult learners and strengthening community connections across the Barstow area.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Barstow Community College
Each year, from September 15 to October 15, Barstow Community College (BCC) observes Hispanic Heritage Month to honor and celebrate Hispanic and Latinx history, culture, and contributions. BACAE was honored to join the celebration on October 15th, providing information, sharing resources, and engaging directly with students, families, and community members at the BCC campus.
Supporting Families at the Desert Sanctuary Block Party
On October 16th, BACAE joined neighbors and local organizations for the Desert Sanctuary Block Party in Barstow. Desert Sanctuary, Inc. serves a vital role in our region, dedicated to providing for individuals and families in need—including those affected by domestic abuse—by offering a safe haven from violence and a temporary refuge. BACAE was proud to participate in this event to share educational opportunities and connect with community members seeking paths toward personal and professional growth.
