The newly established Universal Articulation agreement between Arizona State University and Barstow Community College reaffirms the combined commitment to support academic preparedness and continue to grow an ecosystem of transfer student success. Through student support collaboration, academic alignment, term-to-term persistence and transfer outcome strategies, students are ensured a smooth transition to the university and the support essential for student success.

The Barstow Community College MyPath2ASU™ transfer experience is available to students and staff that support them. Diverse MyPath2ASU™ degree options can be tailored based on Barstow Community College needs (within ASU degree requirements).

End-to-end learner navigation through course-by-course guided pathways. Ensure course applicability by assisting students with taking courses that apply to their associate and ASU bachelor’s degree. Guaranteed general admission to ASU and admission into MyPath2ASU™ major choice if all requirements are satisfied* Some majors have additional or higher admission requirements.

More than 400 course-by- course guided pathways into immersion and online ASU degree programs. Self-service, degree progress tracking through My Transfer Guide to minimize loss of credit. Barstow College MyPath2ASU degree spotlight

 

Psychology, BA, New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences

Psychology is the scientific study of human behavior. This diverse field includes mental health and counseling as well as child development, neuroscience and brain function, memory and decision-making, behavior analysis, statistics and more. It also crosses over into other disciplines such as medicine, law, business and economics.

This BA program in psychology --- emphasizing critical thinking and reasoning, quantitative research methods and writing --- goes beyond the classroom, adding practical experiences through internships, service-learning and faculty-supervised research.

Graduates are prepared for graduate programs in psychology or other areas as well as professional employment.

This major is eligible for the Western Undergraduate Exchange program at the following location: West campus. Students from Western states who select this major and campus may be eligible for reduced nonresident tuition at a rate of 150% of Arizona resident tuition plus all applicable fees.
