Empowering Our Students: Adult Education Hosts Successful Lunch & Learn Event

Adult Ed Lunch and Learn Event

On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the Barstow Community College Adult Education department hosted an engaging and informative Lunch & Learn event specifically for our AE students. Held in the vibrant Black Box Theatre at Barstow Community College, the event provided a fantastic space to share program offerings, discuss future opportunities, and truly get to know our student community.

Event Highlights & Key Takeaways

The morning was packed with valuable resources, community building, and personal growth:

  • Program & Tuition Insights: Students received a comprehensive overview of our Adult Education program offerings, alongside detailed information on valuable tuition reimbursement opportunities designed to support their educational journeys.
  • Inspirational Guest Speaker: We were incredibly honored to welcome Dr. Kenisha Williams as our guest speaker. Dr. Williams delivered a powerful, moving presentation focused on self-worth, mindset, and personal growth, guiding students through impactful themes centered on recognizing their value, unlocking hidden assets, and understanding that they are worth the investment.
  • Food & Prizes: Attendees enjoyed a wonderful catered lunch and had the exciting opportunity to participate in a raffle with multiple prizes.

The turnout was fantastic, filling the theatre with students eager to connect, engage, and learn together.
