On June 28, 2023 Barstow Community College's Career Technical Education (CTE) recently hosted one of the most successful hiring events of the year in partnership with Autism Behavior Service Inc. (ABSI). The event aimed to provide students with invaluable opportunities to connect with industry professionals and secure employment as Behavior Technicians. We are thrilled to announce that the event resulted in the successful hiring of eight talented Barstow Community College students who will join ABSI's team.
The collaboration between Barstow Community College and ABSI highlights a profound dedication to bridging the gap between education and industry in our community. Barstow Community College’s CTE has been instrumental in preparing students for successful careers, and assisting them to secure employment with our local employers.
Students enrolled in Barstow Community College's CTE program demonstrated exceptional skill sets, knowledge, and dedication, and were given the opportunity to engage with representatives from ABSI, a renowned organization in the field of autism behavior services. This event allowed students to showcase their expertise and passion while learning more about the rewarding work of Behavior Technicians.
ABSI, a leading provider of autism behavior services, recognized the immense potential of the students at Barstow Community College. They were overwhelmed with the caliber of talent during the hiring event. The Behavior Technicians hired through this collaboration will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with autism and their families, making a lasting impact on their lives.
