Funding for OER and Zero Textbook Cost Projects
ZTC grant funds may be available to support faculty work that reduces or eliminates the cost of required course materials for BCC students.
Projects may include adopting existing Open Educational Resources (OER), adapting materials for your course, or creating new resources when appropriate.
You do not have to write a textbook to participate.

How Does It Work?
Submit
Tell us about your course and proposed project.
Review
The OER Team reviews your project for eligibility, available funding, scope, and timeline.
Complete
Once approved, complete your project according to the agreed-upon scope and timeline.
Share
We will help with any required licensing, submission, or reporting.
Before You Apply
You do not need to have everything figured out before submitting a request.
It helps to know:
- Which course you want to work on
- What materials students currently use
- Approximately how much those materials cost
- Whether you have already found possible OER
- Whether you plan to adopt, adapt, or create materials
