This program is primarily designed for military service members to improve scores on the TABE test and
AFCT test (Armed Forces Competency Test). Unlikely to succeed students will improve their success
rates in college courses after completing this certificate.
This program is for students to improve their study of mathematics, reading, grammar, writing, and
vocabulary skills. Students will learn mathematics skills including the following mathematical concepts:
whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, conversion of measures, story problems, basic geometry,
and basic algebra. The reading skills include main ideas, restatement, inference, and supporting details.
Vocabulary skills include Latin and Greek roots and prefixes and utilizing vocabulary in context. Students
